Early Blog Announcement
Video announcement will be posted on my channel on the 31st May
In July, I will be hosting The Indie Accords Readathon in recognition of the magic created by Indie Authors, and to encourage more people to read Indie. I have been reading Indie for years and have developed quite a few friendships through it’s readers and writers alike and I want to share some of that joy
FUN FACT: One of my favourite YA Indie fantasy series is “The Tainted Accords” by Kelly St Clare (Also her debut series). July just so happens to be the book birthday of a new series she co-wrote with Shannon Mayer – A Court of Honey and Ash (releases 6th July) more on this later. All of these prompts are somehow related to Kelly.

The Terms…and general stuff and things
The #IndieAccordsReadathon is a month long readathon. It will begin July 1 in your own timezone and run until 11:59pm 31st of July.
Most of the books that are Indie, Self or Boutique published are available on Kindle Unlimited so you can read and try many books for the cost of one month if you don’t already have it. If you do already have it… FREE MONTH OF READING.
The Indie Accords is team based because, who doesn’t love a bit of friendly competition. And what is a competition without a giveaway!
The Teams and their captains are:

Team Fantasy/ Science Fiction La Capitana is none other than the funny and talented Lena from Sufficiently Advanced Lena.
This woman knows her science fiction and fantasy! She is one of my favourite SFF Booktubers and friends.
She reads a lot, like, a lot a lot of SFF of all different sub genres and she has never let me down on a book rec for over a year!! Lena also reads a lot of Indie so I know she’s gonna have some amazing recs.

Team Horor/ Thriller and Mystery is led by this ROCKSTAR in the bookish community. Lezlie from the Nerdy Narrative
Man oh man! Aside from smelling books, Lezlie is also able to grab the best parts of a story that will get your attention, articulate them to a way where you can’t help but add them to your TBR list whether it’s your usual genre or not.
She reads everything but she has agreed to help me and head this team! I can’t believe it!

Team Historical Fiction/ Contemporary and Lit‘s fearless leader is read-all-of-the-things Mel from A Book Fiend Named Mel
Honestly, Mel reads so much books in every genre. Everytime I watch a new video it’s a lucky dip as to what genres are going to be featured. I love it!
One of the nicest, most inclusive people ever. Mel holds reading sprints on her channel, every other Sunday evening and they are so much fun. Oh the things we talk about… hahaha

Team Romance is non other than my good friend Chelsea at Chelsea Zhao on Youtube
Amazing mama and wife. Lover of bookish things, gaming, an awesome journaler (seriously check out her cute spreads) and all round epic human being!
Chelsea is also one of the funest (that’s a word right?) people to buddy read with. And I honestly can’t wait till our next read together.

Declare your allegiance (genre/ team) and register here. Registration for the giveaway will close on the 28th of June*

Synopsis
Orphaned. Trained to fight. Raised to fear the power of Underhill. Secretly in love with a man who doesn’t want me.
I’m still just Alli, aka the half-human orphan fae, but my life is looking up for the first time. It only took me my whole 24 years.
But when Underhill—the ancestral home of the fae—shatters, making it impossible for any fae to enter, I’m the only one who knows who did it.
A secret that will be the death of me if I do nothing.
A brutal madness spreads through the fae as they lose their connection to Underhill, and to save my people, my only choice is to leave all I have fought for and go on the run.
Unless I figure out how the hell magic that has existed since the dawn of time was destroyed with a single touch, well, an entire life spent fighting to prove myself isn’t going to mean anything at all.
I must find the answer to the riddle of Underhill’s shattering.
Hunted by the very man I loved once upon a time.
